Frequently Asked Questions -
All About ABA Services

What is required to be part of ABA therapy?

While all clinics have their own requirements and intake procedures in place, there are many similarities for requirements needed by insurance companies to authorize ABA services. One of the most important documents you will need to provide is a diagnostic evaluation, which will be a medical document provided after diagnosis.  LaHaye and Doll ABA Services does not differentiate between "levels" of autism, meaning that wherever your child falls on the spectrum will not determine whether they get services.

How do I sign up my child for services?

The process is straightforward and similar to other clinics in the area. You will need to complete an 11-page intake packet with information about the potential client. We will also include information packets, including the client handbook and HIPAA information. While these packets are for the parents to keep for records, we require the signature pages at the back of each packet to be filled out and returned. Additionally, you will need to upload or turn in medical documents, including the diagnostic report with evaluation for autism, a referral for ABA therapy, and a copy of the client's insurance card (both front and back). If you are interested in signing up your child for services with LaHaye and Doll ABA Services, you can begin the process here!

What insurances do you accept?

Do you offer in-home or in-school services?

LaHaye and Doll ABA Services does not currently offer any services other than in-clinic ABA therapy.  If you are looking for services inside the home or in school settings, please visit our Local Resource list.

Do you have a waitlist for services?

Yes, we currently have a waitlist for services. The wait time varies depending on several factors, including the number of current clients in our clinic, upcoming discharges upon completion of services, and the establishment of new caseloads. We specialize in early intervention services, having the resources, skill sets, and peer groups to serve elementary school-aged children and younger.

What happens after I place my child on your waitlist?

Once you have submitted all required documentation, our office staff will inform you that your child has been placed on the waitlist. We will then contact you either once your child’s turn in line has arrived, or if they have been on the waitlist for over six months. In the latter case, we will call to confirm if you are still seeking services and to check for any updates to your contact information. Should your contact information change while your child is on the waitlist, please promptly inform our office staff via phone or email.

When your child’s place on the waitlist is reached, we will contact you to confirm if you still wish to proceed with services and to obtain permission to liaise with your insurance for an initial assessment. During this initial assessment, you and your child will schedule a meeting with our office staff. Parents will meet with a potential case manager, while the potential client is assessed by LaHaye and Doll staff.

What will my child's schedule look like for therapy services?

A client's schedule is heavily influenced by many different factors.  LaHaye and Doll ABA Services currently operates Monday - Friday from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM.  Schedules are individualized to the client, depending on what your case manager deems appropriate, what insurance believes will benefit the learner, and parent availability. We also understand that some clients do receive other types of services other than ABA therapy and can facilitate a schedule to meet those needs. Topics such as these would be discussed and decided upon once your child has been assessed at LaHaye and Doll ABA Services.
